Thank you for stopping by my page to visit Sam. He's a big guy, measuring 32" from top to bottom.

Sam is made from painted and aged muslin. He has a full round head with attached eyelids and painted eyes. His nose has been separately attached and his mouth stitched with black floss. His face was then shaded ad blushed. It has been snowing so there is some fallen snow on his nose and hat, sprinkled with German glass glitter.

Sam is wearing a coat made from brown and tan flecked wool, trimmed down the front with brown wool felt and vintage buttons. He has a wonderful faux fur scarf which goes with his coat so nicely. His pants and tophat are also made from brown wool felt. His hat is trimmed with a band of the coat material and also has some vintage-looking tinsel for just a little sparkle. I also added an old-timey paper hang tag onto which I stamped "SAM" and then sprinkled it with German glass glitter. Sam has painted-on pull up boots trimmed with aged cotton batting.

The large stocking is made from a piece of antique quilt. It has a large rusty bell at the tip and is filled with lots of berries and goodies. Sam is also holding a rusty bell ornie in his other arm.
