Fall is on it’s way, so it’s time to think about Halloween! First I’d like to share with you, Penny Pumpkin. She’s a sweet little pumpkin girl, who just likes to think she’s Spooky. Penny is made from cotton muslin, which has been painted and sanded for a soft, old look. She has a needle sculpted nose and eyebrows. Her eyes are paint and pencil, her lips are embroidered. I’ve given her nice rosy cheeks, and added some shading for depth around her features. She wears a dress made from two different cotton prints, trimmed with shaggy green braid. The little badge is made from wood, with a fabric inlay and features a jewel in the shape of a black cat. She has some green bloomers on underneath. Her pointy hat sits atop leafy hair, and is trimmed with a yellow pompom that matches those on her boots. Her stockings are painted in a pinstripe pattern. I’ve made her legs with a slight bend at the knee, so she can sit in a variety of positions. Her legs can dangle over a shelf or bench, or can be crossed at the ankle when she sits on a chair. I’ve even added a small loop on her back, so she can hang on a cupboard if you wish. She holds a whitewashed pumpkin on her lap, and carries a little paper banner that reads “SPOOKY”, just in case we forget. Penny measures 22’ long, from the tip of her hat to her toes. She’s about 14” when she’s sitting.

These Happy Jack ornaments come along with their own paper mache storage boxes. These guys measure 4 ½” tall. They have paper mache heads and hands. Their gowns are made from an acid green cotton with tiny orange dots, and the hats are painted muslin. They hold little banners that say “All Hallows Eve” and a tiny paper mache star. They're so cute hanging from a cupboard knob, or on the side of a primitive basket, and of couse, your Halloween Tree. The boxes are paper mache, with a molded pumpkin on the top of the box. It measures about 2 ½” tall, and 4 ¾” across. They are painted inside as well. I only have two of these sets.
